Rinse with warm water to loosten any sticky matter.
Using a gentle circular motion, lather up the area and clean with anti-bacterial soap, (you must very gently rotate or move the jewelry to clean inside).
Rinse well with warm running water and your done. Repeat this process three times a day.
** We recommend cleaning your piercing at least once a day while in the shower. This assures the area to be cleaned and rinsed off thouroghly.
Tongue Piercings
** For the next 2 weeks you will care for your piercing as you would any oral surgery or having a tooth pulled.
Tongue piercings are generally sore and swollen for 5 to 7 days. Each person is different so you can give or take a little time. The piercing will drain a small amount of fluid and may bleed a little the next day so don't be alarmed. This is normal.
We recommend lot's of crushed iced, and cold water. This will help in relieving the discomfort and keeping swelling to a minimum. Try to avoid hot liquids as this may cause more discomfort. Do Not have any type of oral contact with anyone for at least 10 days. This could cause an Infection!
Do not eat, crunchy or spicy foods. Eat soft easy to chew foods, and creamy foods. Rinse your mouth after eating or drinking anything, "except for water".
Rinse 3 times a day using an Antiseptic Mouthwash. *Listerine Antiseptic Mouthwash is reccomended.
Dilute with water. Example: 2 shots to 1/2 glass of water
Do not use any more than 3 times a day as it will cause your mouth to get raw and a coating could develope on top of the tongue.
Rinse with warm water after using antiseptic. You can rinse with a glass of warm lightly salted water once a day but be sure to rinse well with water afterward.
